The body of another man was cremated during the funeral of British politician Philip Bradbourn, it has been revealed. Bradbourn, who was the MEP for the West Midlands
It was discovered that during the funeral the body of Philip Bradburn was cremated instead of the politicians body. Mr. Bradburn had no immediate family and his funeral was being planned by social services. Dr Andrew Catto, from the Heart of England Foundation Trust, which runs the Good Hope Hospital commented on the error. He said "We are very sorry that this has happened - we are carrying out a full and urgent investigation between all the parties involved."

British Prime Minister David Cameron also released a statement regarding the situation. He said "My heart goes out to both families because these are incredibly tender and sensitive times and for families to have this information is deeply distressing."
A second funeral was held in February with Bradbourn's body once the error was identified. Bradbourn was awarded an OBE in 1994 for public and political service. He became the MEP for the West Midlands as a member of the Conservative party in 1999 and held the position until his death.
